UX Designer & Researcher
I design digital experiences that feel effortless — solving complex problems with clarity, empathy, and intention. Whether you're building a product or filling a role, let's make something great.
Hi, I'm Cecil — a UX designer who sits at the intersection of research, strategy, and craft. I believe the best digital experiences come from deeply understanding the people who use them, not just the problems they face.
Over my career I've worked with startups and established companies alike, helping teams move from messy ambiguity to clear, validated design decisions. My process is collaborative by nature — I work best when I'm embedded in cross-functional teams, asking the questions nobody else is asking.
Whether I'm running user research, building out a full design system, or sweating the details on a final prototype, I bring the same level of care and rigor. Good UX isn't a phase — it's a practice.
Core skills
A selection of projects across product design, research, and systems — each with a clear problem, process, and outcome.
Built an enterprise-wide design language — Figma component library and a mirrored Vue component library — to bring consistency across all internal and external applications and empower teams without dedicated UX support.
Served as the UX Design representative from the business, bridging corporate communications and an external design agency to modernize an antiquated corporate web presence.
Designed an inclusive mobile experience for users with low digital literacy, using plain language, progressive disclosure, and icon-first navigation patterns.
Transformed a cluttered legacy analytics tool into a focused, role-based dashboard used daily by 500+ enterprise users across 3 business functions.
Cecil's work speaks for itself — he is a very talented UX designer. His attention to detail when gathering requirements and conducting usability studies leads to very effective designs. Cecil is conscious of the balance between design and development cost/feasibility and works well with both IT developers and business partners.
Cecil has a keen perception to detail and is extremely knowledgeable about design. He guided our team to create great layouts while sharing his expertise in a way that made us understand our problems so we could learn from him. Working with Cecil was a pleasure both because of his hard work and fun personality. He'd be a great asset to any company.
Cecil always provided UX insights that were well thought out and actionable. He was instrumental in the development of a pattern library and style guide that the team still leverages daily. I could always count on him for creative yet implementable solutions to the UX needs of our application.
Cecil is very knowledgeable in the User Experience discipline both in process and in practice. I have watched and worked with Cecil performing user research, creating UI models and testing users. Cecil can do it all. I would recommend Cecil for any UX opportunity.
He is a master at conducting usability tests, rapid prototyping and designing, with excellent communication skills. He is a true team player and a great role model. Cecil always makes himself an extremely valuable asset of any team he is associated with.
Cecil is an extremely talented UX and web design expert. His ability to move from a kernel of an idea to a fully-formed concept is amazing, as is his adaptability when faced with new challenges. I came to rely on him as someone who could take up nearly any task and see it through to successful completion. He is an asset to any organization looking to take their user experience to the next level.
I've had the opportunity to work with Cecil at two different companies, and hope to be lucky enough to work with him again in the future. Cecil is a very hard-working and dedicated individual who can always be counted on to get work done in a tight timeline — and a genuine pleasure to have around in any capacity.
